Truffle hunting Experience

Join us among the beautiful UNESCO hills of Langhe to live a fun and informative experience in contact with nature! Along with an expert Trifulau and his inseparable dog, we propose you a nice walk in one of the natural truffle woods of Langhe to discover all the secrets of the precious truffle and how the search is conducted. A truly unique experience!The International Truffle fair of Alba is over but not the hunt, the white truffle is still playing a leading role among the woods of Langhe... at least until next snow falls!Let us tell you all about it!

MEETING WITH THE HUNTER AND BRIEFING

Once reached one of the natural truffle woods following our instructions, you will meet the Trifulau and his inseparable dog. Knowing all the secrets of the complex world of truffles, from its ecosystem to the training techniques, from the hunting methods to the typologies and consumption, will be be of fundamental importance to understand what we love and protect so much!

RECOMMENDED CLOTHING

All you need are trekking shoes and a comfortable outfit! in case it has rained the days before the search, we will be happy to provide rain boots. For night hunts we will provide you with torches. In case of rain, the experience cannot be carried out.

THE HUNT

In order to live a complete experience, the trifulau will hide some truffles before meeting you, in positions unknown to the dog. In this way you can follow all phases of the truffle hunt, from the moment the dog senses the smell, to the way in which it indicates the position until the actual finding! in season, it is likely that the dog will find truffles not previously hidden! If you'd rather join a real hunt, just let us know and our truffle hunter will organize it accordingly... choice is yours!

NIGHT HUNT

If you'd rather go for a real night hunt, we'd be happy to welcome you! This type of hunt requires good physical conditions, as it last around 3 hours and is conducted before sunrise or late night, with torches. The finding is not guaranteed but fun surely is!
